Our people are our success, and we work as one team. We are recruiting a Part Time Legal Journalist to join our Corporate Communications Team looking after our Out-Law publication. This role is a crucial one in maintaining and developing our market-leading content operation which helps Pinsent Masons stay front-of-mind with clients and prospective clients. We are seeking a reporter who can generate a steady stream of news, analysis and guide pieces for the Out-Law section of PinsentMasons.com. This will include creating original content based on suggestions from internal stakeholders and generating news on own initiative which is relevant to our clients and fits with our strategy. The role can be based out of any of our UK locations (excluding London) but with a preference on Glasgow or Edinburgh as that is where most of the team is currently based. This role is offered on 21 hours a week that would ideally be across three full days however as an inclusive employer, we are willing to discuss how the 21 hours is split for suitable candidates. Candidate Overview We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience: Exceptional news writing skills â with experience working in a fast-paced publishing environment such as a national news outlet or trade magazine being preferable We need someone who is confident in dealing with senior stakeholders and challenging where appropriate â our journalistic approach is not typical of most Law Firms, and this can lead to challenging conversations Experience in Digital publishing. Good time management and organisational skills with a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy. Fluency in French, German, Spanish or Chinese would be a bonus but not a necessity. What happens next?
