CNC Machinist required to join a growing manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Chichester. This is a great opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist who will be responsible for programming, setting and operating 5 Axis CNC Machine centres to produce high-quality precision parts and components.
CNC Machinist Job Overview
* Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture complex components with precision.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to program and adjust machining processes accordingly.
* Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure accurate execution of composite parts, meeting quality and dimensional requirements.
* Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines using calibration checks.
* Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Collaborate with the production team to meet project timelines and delivery schedules.
* Stay updated on advancements in 5-axis CNC machining technology and techniques for composite materials.
CNC Machinist Job Requirements
* Proven experience as a 5-axis CNC machinist, specifically working with composite materials. Minimum 2 years of experience.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Experience with CAM software for programming and optimizing toolpaths. Preferably Hypermill but not essential.
* Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
* Experience on gantry style machines, preferably Belotti & CMS using Fanuc and Siemens controls but not essential. Training will be provided.
CNC Machinist Salary & Benefits
* Full time - permanent position
* Monday to Friday - 40 hour week (overtime available including weekends)
* Salary - £17 to £20 per hour depending on experience
