Logistics Co-ordinator
Reports to: Supply Chain Manager
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist to join our client's team. This role is integral to the efficient management of our logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination across supply chain partners and internal teams. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of logistics processes, a strong customer focus, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Operations: Develop a deep understanding of logistics operations and business model, including key partners, processes, and market sectors. Manage day-to-day logistics requirements, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment and transportation.
Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with external logistics providers, internal colleagues, customers, and principal suppliers, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
Issue Management: Lead the review and resolution of logistical non-conformances, driving improvements through proactive trend analysis, system utilization, and effective communications.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers and business teams to identify opportunities for logistics process improvements, focusing on efficiency, cost management, and quality assurance.
Performance Management: Use data-driven approaches to monitor and manage the performance of logistics partners, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with business objectives.
Problem Resolution: Actively manage live logistics challenges, taking ownership of issues that arise and resolving them quickly to minimize disruption to operations.
Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to strategic projects related to compliance, digital transformation, sustainability, and performance improvement, working closely with the Supply Chain Manager.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with additional logistics and supply chain tasks as required to support the overall business needs.Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or international trade environments.
Strong understanding of logistics operations and key performance indicators.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to spot trends and make data-driven decisions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized with effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Previous experience in sectors like Food & Nutrition, Pharmaceuticals, or Industrial Solutions is preferred.
