The Governance Analyst is a support role for the Audit and Risk Officer, whereby the Officer is the face of UK&I IT Governance, the Governance Analyst picks up the admin and day-to-day work and deputises in their absence.
Working with Product Owners and the Product Support Team you will identify and mitigate IT-related risks, identifying compliance gaps and recommending corrective actions.
You will assist in the development and maintenance of IT audit policies and procedures and coordinate with both internal and external auditors.
The role will also informally support with Product Assurance where you will work closely with our Product Owners and development teams to ensure their focus remains on the Product Assurance scores.
What will your day look like:
Assist in planning and preparing for IT related audits, including gathering required documentation and evidence and liaising with operational stakeholders.
Assist in the maintenance of accurate records of audit activities, findings, and follow-up actions.
Assist in identifying compliance gaps and recommending corrective actions.
Work with Product Owners and the Product Support Team to identify and mitigate IT-related risks.
Assist in reviewing audit reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Analyse audit findings and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Assist in the development and maintenance of IT audit policies, procedures, and best practices.
Draft any amendments to the Product Assurance Process and propose to the Audit & Risk Officer for discussion/sign off.
Work closely with the Group IT Audit Function, QRC and security teams to address audit requirements and resolve identified risks and issues.
Coordinate with both internal and external auditors as needed.
Support Risk Review meetings with Risk owners and assist in the management of the UK&I IT Risk Register
