International Business Development Manager – Middle East/Asia/Africa/West Indies/US
UK based – Living within 2 hours of Nottingham ideally
Salary Up to £55k basic + £30k OTE + benefits

THE ROLE
As an International BDM selling across the full lighting, masts and columns portfolio, you will represent a true market leader within external lighting and infrastructure. The International BDM role is a senior and fully accountable role and would suit an accomplished sales person with knowledge of Saudi, Middle East, Africa or Asia. This is an all-encompassing role working with Architects, M&E Consultants and Contractors as well as regional distribution and reseller partners depending on the country of work. There is a solid and lucrative pipeline of high profile projects already in play but your role will be to utilise and leverage business from these as well as opening up new partnerships across this region of the world. You will work to identify potential projects and gain specifications on sports pitches, stadiums, arenas, car parks, airports and Oil & Gas with some very high profile and unique customers. You will be based in the UK with around 40% travel to Middle East and Asia. The first few months will require regular office contact with all department and division in the business to upskill and integrate the International BDM fully. Candidates should be prepared for travel to Nottingham during this time. You will be expected to manage your own diary and update projects on the CRM system. Full support from the International Sales Director and wider sales team will be given to help upskill you and accelerate your learnings. We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
* 2-3 years of sales experience working in International Sales – ideally within lighting, manufacturing or M&E Consultants route to market
* Experience of working within Middle East, Asia or Africa is desirable. European experience may also be relevant
