Job Title: Credit ControllerLocation: CoventrySalary: Up to £30,000 Monthly Target BonusContract: Full-time, Office-based (5 days per week)We are partnering with a dynamic, fast-growing business in the energy sector, and they are looking to expand their brand-new team in their modern Coventry office. After successfully building the team from the ground up, they're now looking for an additional Credit Controller to join their exciting journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a few years of credit control experience, who is eager to take the next step in their career within a supportive and thriving environment.Key Responsibilities: Manage and resolve invoice queries by liaising with both internal and external stakeholders for quick resolutions. Proactively engage with SME clients through calls, emails, and letters to drive debt recovery. Meet call and debtor day targets, ensuring regular contact with customers. Prepare reports and account statements using Excel. Build strong working relationships across teams and with clients. Present updates during weekly debt meetings and collaborate on complex account reconciliations. Identify and propose process improvements and assist in their implementation. Perform additional duties as required, supporting management goals.What We're Looking For: At least 2 years' credit control experience. Proven ability to meet targets and deadlines. Strong communication and customer service skills. Confident in debt collection conversations and negotiating positive outcomes. A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent prioritisation skills. Ability to recommend and implement process enhancements. Intermediate knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUPs).
