YOUR ROLE
Our International Freight Forwarding team based in Manchester have an exciting opportunity for a practiced Air Export Coordinator where you will support with end-to-end export operational activities, ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in ocean freight or air freight import/export operations who is eager to further develop their skills.
Due to the nature of the role and customer security clearance it is essential for the successful candidate to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
This role will see you working Monday to Friday.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Air Freight Team Leader you will work within the exports team where you will focus on:
* Arrange shipments for customers following quotations and requests.
* Manage customer shipments and arrange for collections.
* Provide customers with shipment delivery updates.
* Book all shipments with approved suppliers.
* Complete all MAWB documentation as required.
* Complete customs entries in accordance with HMRC and company rules and regulations.
* Liaise with approved suppliers and handling agents.
* Provide support with costings, quotations and invoices when required.
* Manage multiple shared inboxes, resolving queries in a timely manner.
* Support imports operational activities as and when required.
* Support with ad-hoc requests.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
* Proven export/import operations experience, ideally within a similar role.
* Previous experience of working within an air freight, ocean freight or freight forwarding operation.
* Knowledge of import customs operations would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* IT Literate experience in using MS packages, particularly Outlook.
* Proven experience of Cargowise would be desirable.
* Natural problem-solving skills.
* Great attention to detail.
* Team Player.
