Premier Recruitment Group are pleased to be partnering with a leading business based in Lockerbie, Dumfries and Galloway, South-Western Scotland to recruit for a forward thinking Mobile Fleet Support Technician. This is a full-time and permanent position, Lockerbie based but covering Southern Scotland.
Job purpose:
To ensure company's units and trailers are repaired or refurbished to company standards and specifications, making the best use of time and resources.
Responsibilities:
1. To repair and maintain company LGV equipment.
2. To ensure minimum disruption to haulage operations.
3. Promote company in line with the yard handbook.
4. Liaise with fleet maintenance on a daily basis regarding priority of repair/maintenance.
5. Check and maintain HGV trailers and units in the allocated coverage area.
6. Be available for out of hours breakdowns when reported by your manager.
7. Be fully aware of safe working practices, risk assessments, COSHH and MSDS.
8. Complete all paperwork accurately and submit within required time scales.
9. Follow all site rules.
10. Follow all customer site rules.
11. You must comply with all health and safety rules and regulations regarding the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
12. Ensure company uniform is worn.
13. Use appropriate PPE.
14. Ensure you maintain your license and report any endorsements to the company.
15. Ensure company supplied tools and vehicles are kept in good working order.
16. You must comply with all legislation which applies to you.
17. Inform the company of any changes to your circumstances, e.g. change of address.
18. You must carry out any reasonable task required by the company.
