Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Meldreth, Hertfordshire
Start Date: October 2024
We are a leading education agency, currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Meldreth. This role will commence in October 2024.
Responsibilities:
* Support the mental health and emotional well-being of students in a classroom setting.
* Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development.
* Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance.
* Build positive relationships with students, helping them to develop confidence and resilience.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with mental health needs or SEN is essential.
* A compassionate and patient approach.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent) are desirable but not mandatory.
