This role will provide support to the Practice Manager in the effective running of Whyburn Medical Practice.
You will be responsible for the production of performance and quality standards within the Practice, managing data quality issues, providing advice and guidance to all the practice staff with the use of the clinical system and support the claims process for work undertaken as part of enhanced national and local services.
Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing leadership and management skills to enable the practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within an efficient, safe and effective working environment.
Ensuring that our management of patient paper records in and out of the practice is accurately recorded and up to date at all times.
To manage our QOF points in terms of ensuring that our system is up to date with the correctly coded information and reporting to all clinical staff on a monthly basis our current achievement and provide appropriate support to ensure we hit the required end of year targets.

Job responsibilities
Scope of the Job:
Ensuring accurate reporting of statistics for the purpose of enhanced services claims.
To work with the practice manager and Lead Clinician on all new services offered and provide the relevant templates for clinical staff to use on Systmone.
To effectively manage the data quality workforce levels to ensure that coding and summarising targets are being met.
Dynamically managing the balance of various duties within the role and prioritising.
Participating in educational and learning activities arranged from time to time.
Delegation of tasks to the most appropriate professional.
Supporting a drive to greater automation and use of technology.
To carry out administrative related tasks as delegated by the doctors.
Duties may vary under the direction of the Manager depending on workload and staffing levels.
Managing the clinician rotas sourcing locums where necessary.
To support with new staff induction process.
Information technology
* To have an overall understanding of all IT systems in the building.
* Maintain Network (hardware & software).
* Make recommendations for upgrades where appropriate.
* To liaise with ICB and NHIS IT support department to resolve other hardware and software issues.
* To provide support advice and training for current and new practice staff in the use of the clinical system.
* Practice co-ordinator for IT hardware.
* To provide support and training for current and new staff in resolving simple problems with PCs and printers.
* To ensure staff are aware of the importance of maintaining disease registers and assist in the validation process.
