Who are we?
Search Seven is a remote-first digital marketing agency that was founded back in 2011 in Brighton & Hove, specialising in Paid Media and SEO. We still call Brighton our home, but since 2021 we switched to a remote-first way of working and have team members based all around the UK, predominantly in the South-East. We love to all come together and enjoy social events – from puppy yoga to axe-throwing, we’ve done it all! A strong, positive culture is a huge focus for us & being remote workers, it’s more important than ever to ensure we all get out and have fun to reward ourselves for all the hard work!
Who are we looking for?
Search Seven are now looking for a new SEO member to join our amazing SEO team! We are looking for someone with 1-2 years experience in SEO and a good understanding of tracking through tools such as Google Tag Manager. The role will encompass all things SEO such as on-page and content, but will lean towards the technical side. You would be responsible for planning, managing and implementing SEO strategies tailored to each client’s requirements and objectives. You will be supported by our amazing SEO experts, who will bring you onto our exciting and diverse range of client accounts from the charity world, all the way over to e-commerce brands.
Maintaining existing client relationships and cultivating new ones is also a critical part of the role. Your time will be spent between managing on-going clients with SEO consultancy, stand alone projects and supporting your seniors on new business opportunities. Helping to scope out opportunities from audits and recommending strategies that would make potential clients excited to work with us which you could then deliver for them.

The kind of things you would be doing:
1. Carrying out SEO research and SEO Audits.
2. Assisting on monthly reports.
3. Conducting keyword research to inform and refine content strategies based on target audience needs and search trends.
4. Responding to SEO queries that a client poses in the form of on-going SEO consultancy.
5. Setting up tracking for clients through GTM and GA4, as well as solving any tracking issues or highlighting ways to make tracking more accurate.
6. Contributing to quarterly review meetings and strategic reviews.
7. Evaluating new technologies and approaches to delivery to ensure we’re offering an excellent service.
8. Strengthening and maintaining client relationships, including excellent communication.
9. Ensuring your output is to a consistent quality, and in line with Search Seven’s values.
10. Growing more junior members of the team in their understanding of SEO and working alongside a clear framework for personal development.
11. Helping to create and deliver highly effective SEO plans that meet and exceed KPI’s.
12. Developing, documenting, and implementing SEO best practices.
13. Reviewing and improving our approach to reporting.
14. Staying abreast of SEO algorithm updates and trends, and sharing this news with clients to improve their SEO campaigns.
15. Be a keen ambassador for Search Seven in everything we do & represent – pushing your own ideas too.
What you bring to the table:
1. Good understanding of SEO, keyword research and competitor analysis.
2. Good ability to carry out monthly health checks and highlight issues identified.
3. Strong awareness of other aspects of digital marketing such as Paid Search, Display and broader media planning and buying.
4. Good understanding of tracking/tag manager and GA4.
5. Excellent organisation and communication skills.
6. Good experience with reporting data.
7. An understanding of planning and supporting clients with migrations, keeping SEO in mind.
8. Able to drive thought leadership and develop outstanding collateral in the most appropriate format.
9. Must be comfortable developing and delivering strategic presentations (both virtually and in person) and able to think on one’s feet.
10. Ability to develop strong client relationships. Builds client confidence as a trusted advisor by actively listening and understanding challenges and or roadblocks and speaking with authority on how we will address them.
You will also possess the following:
1. A passion for digital marketing, specifically SEO and content.
2. Organisation and time management skills.
3. Analytical skills with an ability to draw insights and make recommendations from data analysis.
4. Second to none communication skills with plenty of client communication experience.
5. Project management skills.
6. A good understanding of the elements that underpin a successful SEO campaign that increases organic search presence.
7. Strong client facing skills – You will be a natural people person and conversationalist. You’ll enjoy meeting clients and building relationships with them.
8. Good knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office/Google products, particularly Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets – Powerpoint/Slides etc are also useful.
9. Ability to travel to/from the South-east and London area for socials and client meetings roughly every month.
