Job Description
Our client is looking for a strategic and culture-focused Production Manager to add to their team in York, PA. Although our client is small in team size (25 company-wide, 5 direct reports), their results are impressive. They’ve been in business for over 100 years and work with some of the largest companies in the world to support production with their custom machinery. They identify as precision craftsmen and given the level of detail; this isn’t a high-volume manufacturing environment. Instead, you’ll work in a lower-pressure, less intense atmosphere with a much better work/life balance typically keeping to an eight-hour workday. You’ll also benefit by partnering with some of the sharpest minds in engineering across all the industry leaders they collaborate with. Given the scope of their clients, this is a key role managing workflow across assembly, inspection, and machine shop operations. To be chosen for this role, you must have a quality-focused, continuous-improvement approach to both workflow operations as well as people development. Someone who values creating genuine relationships with their colleagues and fosters an environment of knowledge-sharing and professional development. A lot of companies say they are culture-focused, but our client can prove it. Their average tenure is 10 years and with their exceptional medical coverage, retirement planning, and generous PTO, their leadership team truly shows how important it is to take care of their team members (and their families) as much as you take care of their customers.

8. Manage inventory ensuring tools are available and equipment is maintained
9. Drive continuous improvement for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
10. Collaborate to understand customer requirements and participate in acceptance testing
