We have an exciting opportunity in BHRUT to join our skilled midwives in the antenatal/postnatal ward as a band 7 Dual role midwife. You will have operational oversight of the maternity unit and provide clinical support. If you are an NMC registered midwife with an NMC PIN Number and would like to make a difference to women and their families, then we would like to hear from you.
The post holder will continue to develop their leadership skills by enhancing both professional and personal development. Working in a dual role as both a clinical and operational manager, you will work closely with the specialty Maternity Matron and Deputy Matron to manage the midwifery and nursing staff, flow, and resources within the ward/department areas to provide high-quality and cost-effective clinical care. On a daily basis, be proactive in reviewing the capacity within the unit and supporting the midwives in effective and efficient discharge and acuity. Redeploy staff to cover service needs and maintain clinical practice.

We’re looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It’ll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
