Trainee Building Condition Surveyor - Immediate Start
The Bluerose Group is a Multidisciplinary Building Surveying company who work within the International Market. Due to our ever-increasing business, we have an opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic person to train as a trainee Asset & Building condition surveyor. Covering all aspects of building services from Mechanical & Electrical Services to Building Fabric & Architecture, this role requires a 'can do' attitude and an open willingness to learn.
As a Trainee Building Surveyor, you will have the chance to learn from our experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience in conducting detailed Building condition Reports and supporting various aspects of commercial surveying as required.
Accompanying our experienced surveyors, the successful candidate will participate in on-site visits to inspect buildings, learn how to assess the condition of both Mechanical and Electrical, and Building Fabric Assets. They will also be instructed on the input of data and preparation of reports and documentation. Continuous support, mentorship and guidance from our senior surveyors will be provided to learn best practices and industry standards, and in-house training will enhance your technical skills and knowledge in building surveying.
Requirements:
1. The ideal Candidate will have great attention to detail, be adaptable, dependable, a team player and have great organisational and communication skills.
2. Good computer skills: Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint are essential.
3. Clean driving licence desirable but not essential.
4. Previous experience in the building services industry desirable.
Job Description
1. Reports directly to the Managing Director / Manager.
2. 40 hours per week working on site or in office, some working at home where required.
3. All PPE provided where required.
4. Initial H&S training provided.
5. 28 days holiday.
6. Some working away required, this may entail travel abroad - travel, accommodation and sustenance provided.
7. Carry out duties as required.
8. Write and deliver reports to clients.
9. Liaise with clients.
10. Adhere to all H&S requirements.
11. Adhere to all methodology laid out in risk and method statements.
12. Subject to three months probationary period.
Salary £25k-£27k, Company Pension
