Integrated Brokerage Manager (Adults Service)
We are working in partnership with a Local Authority in the Brixton area who are seeking an Integrated Brokerage Manager to work within the Adult Care Service.
MUST HAVE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
Contract: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Full Time Hours: 35 Hours per week.
Location: SW2 (Office based).
Rate of Pay: £28 - £35 per hour - Negotiable depending on experience.
Main Duties:
1. To develop and manage with key commissioning and delivery colleagues an Integrated Support Brokerage service negotiating individually adapted and costed packages of care and support and managing direct payments.
2. To develop and manage the systems and support services ensuring robust and appropriate systems are in place to support the quality assurance process.
3. Leading and developing a responsive and flexible service within a changing and demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the brokerage, financial assessment and direct payments function within the prescribed timeframes, budget and quality.
2. Provide support, advice and information to care managers, providers, service users and carers and seek innovative and imaginative care solutions for service users with complex and specialist needs.
3. To put safeguarding as a high priority and inform all staff of their responsibilities and the issues are recognised and escalated as appropriate.
4. Be responsible for the management of a diverse and heavy workload in an environment of constantly shifting priorities, including complex legislative changes and operational demands.
5. Manage and oversee the overall co-ordination of the purchase of individual care packages, financial assessment and direct payments for all service users whilst maintaining best value and monitoring the quality of service provision delivered.
6. Lead on support of identifying gaps in the market and developing appropriate services in conjunction with the Integrated Brokerage Quality Assurance Officers.
Experience Needed:
1. Local authority/Public sector experience.
2. Brokerage Service Management.
3. Knowledge of legislation relevant to the delivery of Domiciliary Care e.g. Care Act and National Care Standards Act.
4. Knowledge of computerised management systems such as Oracle and Mosaic.
5. Experience in managing and supervising staff in an adult care service environment.
