Role Overview:
As an Auditor for Dual Fuel Engineers & EV Installations, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our engineering workforce adheres to regulatory standards, internal policies, and best practices. You will be responsible for auditing the work of dual fuel engineers and electric vehicle (EV) installation teams to ensure compliance, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the energy and EV sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular audits of dual fuel engineers and EV installation teams, including on-site inspections and reviews of completed work.
2. Assess compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
3. Verify that installations are completed to the required technical standards and within agreed timeframes.
4. Review documentation, including work orders, certificates, and customer feedback, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
5. Reporting & Analysis:
1. Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, areas of concern, and recommendations for improvement.
2. Assist in the development of action plans to address any identified non-compliance or quality issues.
6. Continuous Improvement:
1. Work closely with dual fuel engineers and EV installation teams to provide feedback and support continuous improvement in work practices.
2. Identify opportunities for training and development to enhance the skills and knowledge of engineers.
3. Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of audit processes and criteria.
7. Compliance & Safety:
1. Ensure all audits are conducted in line with current legislation, industry standards, and company health and safety policies.
2. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations, technology, and best practices within the energy and EV sectors.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Proven experience in an auditing role, preferably within the energy sector.
2. Strong knowledge of dual fuel (gas and electricity) systems and electric vehicle (EV) installations.
3. Familiarity with UK energy regulations, including OFGEM guidelines, and health & safety standards.
4. Relevant qualifications in engineering, auditing, or a related field (e.g., City & Guilds, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits simultaneously.
8. A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
Desirable:
1. Experience with auditing software and tools.
2. Previous experience in a dual fuel engineering role or EV installation.
