1. Corporation tax planning and forecasting/ modelling to ensure an efficient approach maintained during periods of increased capital expenditure.
2. Completion/review of tax returns for submission to HMRC and dealing with related queries.
3. Liaison with other teams in Thames Water, companies in Kemble Group and peers in Water UK in all corporation tax matters.
4. Ensure compliance with tax aspects of securitised financing arrangements.
5. Regulatory tax reporting, including dealing with tax-related Ofwat queries and providing key tax input into the Ofwat Price Review process.
6. Tax accounting and reporting for management and statutory purposes including tax consolidations and corporation tax aspects of SAO review.
7. Supervise and help develop the Corporate Tax Advisor.
Base Location: Reading - Hybrid.
Working Pattern or hours: 36 Hours.
What you should bring to the role:
1. Confident communicator across all levels of business.
2. Hands-on approach with the ability to deal with detail as well as stepping back to ensure optimal position for Kemble Group.
3. Confidence to work autonomously and to escalate matters as and when appropriate.
4. Experience in supervising and developing staff.
5. Exposure to infrastructure or asset-intensive businesses.
6. Preferably in-house experience. (post-qualified)
