Description Wood is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join rhi, their professional services consultancy and talent solutions business. The Assistant Accountant will provide effective administration and finance support, providing a positive customer experience and being able to take accountability for managing queries in a timely manner. This position is based in Aberdeen on a hybrid working basis. LI-Hybrid The Role Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Assistant Accountant will assist in the accurate financial reporting for rhi business line entities, ensuring all accounting entries are recorded in an accurate and timely manner. This involves the provision of timely reporting of financial data internally to business stakeholders and eternally to the client. Furthermore, financial reporting will extend to forecasts, budgets, together with ad-hoc financial analysis. The Assistant Accountant will ensure weekly contractors time and expenses are imported onto the finance system to ensure timely payment. Corrections to timesheets and payments Code and approve accounts payable invoices and contractor expenses Daily communication with team on various processes around billing and admin information, including support. Reconciling payments made by clients on weekly basis & generate client reverse billing Ensure that all accounting entries are prepared accurately and in line with corporate deadlines Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations & journal entries. Assist in the month end submission of P&L, Balance sheet and upload to EPM planning system in line with group deadlines Ensure results are accurately reported and analysed Assist in the preparation of annual plan and quarterly reforecast in conjunction with Business Management and Finance team Reconcile and agree intercompany balances monthly Maintain and reconcile bank account weekly Headcount & Aged receivable reports consolidation at rhi group level. Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and admin tasks as and when required Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Qualifications: Further education through College or University with a recognised accounting qualification Preferably working towards CIMA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent Knowledge, skills and experience: Previous accounting experience Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook Good systems experience Previous experience of payroll and BACs payments would be advantageous.
