Calling all CNC Machinists!
Are you an experienced CNC machinist who is looking for a fresh challenge? We are currently working with a family-run precision engineering company founded in 2001, boasting a £2.7m turnover and a strategic growth plan. Due to this growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to set, edit, and operate Star Sliding Head Lathes, creating precision-engineered parts for the oil & gas, medical, and food industries, to name a few.
What's on offer:
1. Salary up to £40,000 DOE
2. Hours are 6am - 4:30pm or 7am - 5:30pm Mon - Thurs
3. 4 DAY WEEK
4. 200 hours holiday per year + statutory holidays increasing by 1 day for every 3 years of service

The person:
The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for engineering, a good eye for detail, and previous experience of CNC machining with Fanuc controls. You must be keen, wanting to learn, and have a good work ethic, being a team player willing to help out others when needed. Training can be provided, so we welcome applications from candidates from other CNC disciplines who may be looking for a move into Sliding Head Lathe work.
As a CNC Sliding Head Lathe, you'll be:
1. Setting, editing, and operating Star Sliding Head Lathe CNC Machines with Fanuc Controls
2. Working to tight tolerances
3. Producing high precision batch work components anywhere from 50 off to 10,000+ off
4. Producing parts from various general engineering and exotic materials
5. Self-inspection of components
6. Supporting colleagues and other departments where necessary
What we need from you:
1. Setting and operating CNC Fixed or Sliding Head Lathes experience
2. (The ability to program is advantageous but not essential)
3. Previous experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment
4. The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
5. Must be self-motivated, dedicated, and able to work under own initiative
