We are seeking candidates for the position of: SALES ENGINEER - UK SOUTH The Sales Engineer provides complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. He/she Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. The position covers all areas south of West Midlands / Nottingham / Leicester areas, including South Wales, the South East and South West, and a particular focus on the “Golden Triangle” region of London, Oxford and Cambridge. The role will be based at our UK office in Peterborough, with the expectation of 3 – 4 days per week office based and 1 – 2 days per week in the field. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Meet or exceed projected sales targets; Research and identify sales opportunities, generating leads, and target potential clients; Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company's relationship with them; Demonstrate portable equipment including air and liquid particle counters and active air samplers; Prepare quotations and present them to customers; Develop a basic understanding of facility / environmental monitoring systems and develop proposals with the Project Team; Attend conferences, exhibitions and other trade shows; Attend networking events; Stay up to date with industry guidance and regulations, and any changes in these; Monitor competitor activity and developments; Prepare reporting as needed; Undertake additional tasks to ensure the growth of both PMS UK and the PMS global business (MarCom activity). Lead nurturing: first phone contacts to new leads to qualify leads. Creating and submitting quotes for individual systems to customer with the names of the field sales representatives. Helping for the organization of trade fair. Relevant Education and Requirements: Previous experience in the life sciences / pharmaceutical sector and an understanding of cleanrooms and contamination control would be beneficial. Experience and expertise in regards to Sales is advantageous but applications from candidates with technical expertise and skills gained in a cleanroom or life science environment will also be welcomed. Experience with Sales Force or other CRM systems, and confidence with presentations and public speaking is advantageous. Excellent selling and negotiation skills, strong customer orientation, proactivity and attention to details. Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package. Full driving license is required.
