EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as a Management Accountant, where you will support reporting of opex and capital spend across Developer Services.
As our Management Accountant you will also help deliver insight and drive improvement in Developer Services reporting and budgeting and controls to enable improved performance across regulatory, performance and financial objectives.
In this role you will work with a variety of stakeholders to improve understanding of spend and own the analysis of financials against budget and forecasts.
Further responsibilities will include:
* Complete month-end processes, including producing and completing required journals, while ensuring information relevance and identifying opportunities and efficiencies.
* Own monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation process ensuring the required level of quality.
* Support the forecast, budget and business plan processes helping ensure plans are complete and realistic.
* Produce analysis of financials against budget and forecast.
* Provide financial support to the department, balancing short term needs with the longer-term strategic priorities of the department.
* Support Developer Services team and project managers to help them better understand their financial data and performance.
* Engage with wider finance colleagues to ensure transactional data is accurate, robust and timely.
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation of team processes and controls.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
* Working towards financial qualification in ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
* Experience in analysing financial information for variances and investigating any abnormalities that arise.
* Demonstrable track record of diagnosing business issues and delivering performance improvements.
* Working collaboratively across departments to deliver a successful outcome.
In addition, you should have the ability to articulate a position and make recommendations which will enable teams to make decisions based on reliable and accurate information. Having the ability to build strong and credible working relationships across the organisation is a must. You should be adept at influencing and be able to guide and constructively challenge when required.
