Class Technology Solutions Ltd (CTS) is a leading provider of ICT solutions to the education sector in the UK, and are looking for a Network Manager to be based at one of our client sites. Key tasks and Responsibilities: Ensure a consistent IT support service is delivered to the site. Establish and maintain high quality learning facilities and assist in planning their future development. Provide overall responsibility for CTS's IT service at the site as Network Manager. Including: advanced troubleshooting, ensuring a consistent service level, identifying potential system issues and escalating unresolved problems. Provide detailed specialist advice and guidance as required to the client on IT requirements. Work with CTS Account Managers to highlight system updates and improvements in line with site longer term plans, strategies, or Oversea the training and up-skilling of the CTS staff on site. Prioritise staff workloads, mentor, advice and train junior staff on appropriate working practices & procedures. Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) technical information at an appropriate level, and in a suitable style, having assessed the audience. Manage and implement agreed work programmes/practices under the guidance of Senior Staff. Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, Safeguarding, health, safety and security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person. Set up and check hardware and software for normal operation. Build and configure networked PCs, this could be a standalone setup or via image deployment. Perform maintenance on user accounts, site servers, and cloud platforms. Solid understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365 administration. Ensure that Helpdesk tickets are updated and resolved in a timely fashion in line with the SLAs. Manage active network components including switches, routers and firewall. Follow processes and tasks described in site/client disaster recovery and maintenance plans. Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) technical information at an appropriate level to the required audience. With the CTS Account manager and Senior Engineer, maintain and regularly review whole site system contingency plans. Follow instructions to test site backup and malware protection procedures. helpdesk and investigated as required. Working with the Senior Engineer to design and implement network infrastructure to meet the client/site requirements. Potential to be assigned to project teams during the holidays under guidance of the senior engineer team.
