Job responsibilities Please see attached job description To work with staff to develop methods of assessing and analysing behaviour. To carry out direct observational recordings of clients behaviour and to present the results of such recordings. To contribute to person centred planning by assisting with assessment of skills, identification of needs and carrying out strengths, needs analysis and monitoring. To assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of positive behaviour support plans. To demonstrate clinical change by using appropriate clinical measures and presentation of information in reports. To undertake protocol based psychological assessments of clients including formal psychometric tests, self report measures and rating scales. To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings. To undertake searches of evidence based literature and research, and to assist the qualified psychologist in evidence based practice in individual work and work with other team members. To ensure that clients are involved in the planning and prioritisation of their care plans wherever possible. To ensure that client dignity is maintained at all times, their privacy is respected and their needs as individuals are fully considered. To be responsible for the security, care and maintenance of equipment ensuring standards of infection control and safety are maintained. To give clients a choice in all decisions affecting their lives and promote independence wherever possible. As a Health Care Assistant/ Support Worker you will be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care / services to patients and service users as part of a Mental Health and Social Care Health Service. Health Care Assistant, Social Care Workers and other Healthcare Support Workers employed by the Trust are required to follow the guidance set out in Code of Conduct for Health Care Assistants/ Health Care Support Workers to provide safe and compassionate care of a high standard, and to challenge others who are not. You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice / training on a regular basis and be required to meet the Care Certificate standards. All successful applicants will also have the opportunity to discuss the prospect of undertaking a Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship alongside their substantive post. This apprenticeship would include the Level 3 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare.
