As a Radiology Staff Nurse you will support the Radiology team of Radiology Assistants, Radiographers, Radiologists & all other staff within the department.
Assisting & supporting with all Invasive procedures, being elective, diagnostic & therapeutic procedures within all modalities of the department.
Admitting, assessing & supporting both patients & their relatives during their journey/experience in Radiology.
Main duties of the job
To admit & assess patients pre & post elective, diagnostic & therapeutic procedures into a Day Case Unit.
To assist & scrub with the Radiologist in the Interventional Rooms for all procedures
To be responsible for monitoring the patient throughout the procedures & acting as a circulating Nurse, providing equipment to both the scrub person & Radiologist .
When all competencies have been achieved, further development will be taken in management of the airway with conscious sedation.
You will be part of the on-call team to cover a weekday a week and in weekends a month.
