We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to complement our welcoming multi-disciplinary team within Dermatology Outpatients at both our new department at The James Cook University Hospital and One Life Centre where we run our Skin Cancer Service and Theatres.
Band 2 requirements: willingness to undertake all relevant training and qualifications if wishing to develop into a Band 3 role.
Band 3 requirements:
1. Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE equivalent (A-C/4-9)
2. Care certificate
3. Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties
4. Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3
There is a clear framework to allow for postholders to develop from a Band 2 to Band 3, which includes completion of the qualifications.
Main duties of the job
The departments currently offer a range of services for both adult and paediatric patients. The successful candidate will rotate between both departments, delivering safe, effective, high-quality care to our patients.
This is a great opportunity to join our team and to be involved in the future of Dermatology here at The James Cook University Hospital and One Life Centre.
Theatre experience would be desirable; however, full training will be provided.
