Job overview
You will be educated to degree level or have achieved through practical experience in a technical construction related discipline with a wide range of highly specialised knowledge with regards to Autodesk AutoCAD and have clear evidence of continuing professional development.
You will have a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering minor projects in complex environments on time and to delegated budgets, utilising NEC and/or JCT contractual frameworks, and have proven skills in effective people management, communication, and understand the importance of stakeholder relationships.
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of technical and regulatory standards and work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including clinicians, local authorities, design teams, and contractors.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the job is to be responsible for:
1. The organisation and management of all CAD work and the drawing library for the Trust.
2. Carrying out surveys, preparing drawings and specifications, and submitting plans for internal and external approval for minor works projects.
3. Producing feasibility or space utilisation drawings as part of Estate Strategy and Master planning projects.
4. Being responsible for a wide range of electronic documents, data, and information relating to the Trust’s Estate.
5. Producing and developing policies and procedures to ensure the drawing library is kept up to date with drawings in a consistent format.
6. Supporting involvement with the roll-out and operation of the meeting room booking system and the space utilisation survey.

Person specification
* Educated to Degree standard
* Experience of working in a surveying/architectural background, surveying buildings, producing drawings, designs & technical details
* Effective communication skills to deal with a wide range of people: Facilities & Estates and Capital Development functions
* Proven ability for the compliance and quality of design work from initial concept to completion of projects.
* Holds a wide range of highly specialist knowledge with regards to Autodesk AutoCAD
* Awareness and ability to use AutoCAD and drawing packages
* Knowledge of NHS design guidance (HTMs & HBNs).
* City and Guilds in Computer Aided Design or similar appropriate qualification
