Key Responsibilities
* Takes ownership of the venue with an entrepreneurial mindset in the absence of the General Manager
* Lead and inspire our front-of-house team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
* Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
* Set clear roles and responsibilities for the management team, and supervisors ensure the team are constantly being developed and that they feel well-supported and motivated.
* Motivate the team to provide exceptional customer service, building relationships with our guests.
* Manage cashing up and locking up procedures with confidence and accuracy.
* Handle cellar management, including the care and handling of real ales.
* Maintain a high standard of stock control, performing regular line checks.
* Uphold our tradition of excellence in hospitality, contributing to menu planning and special events.
Requirements
* Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, preferably in a pub/bar setting
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* A people person with a genuine love for hospitality.
* Positive thinker with the initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
* Great attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
* Confident in all aspects of food service.
* Comfortable with cashing up and locking up responsibilities.
* Experienced in cellar management, particularly with real ales.
* Strong understanding of stock control and line checks.
* Must hold a personal licence.
* Right to work in the UK.
