Who You’ll Be Supporting: The children and young people you’ll work with may have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other behavioural challenges. They thrive with consistent, supportive adults who can offer stability, guidance, and encouragement. Your role will be crucial in helping them build confidence, develop social skills, and engage positively with learning.

Your Role Will Involve:
* Supporting pupils with additional needs and helping to manage challenging behaviour with patience and understanding.
* Applying Team Teach strategies to de-escalate situations and maintain a safe, structured environment.
* Building trust with pupils, acting as a role model, and promoting positive behaviour.
* Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and activities to ensure all pupils can engage and succeed.
* Establishing clear boundaries while demonstrating empathy and consistency.
* Collaborating with school staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
What We’re Looking For:
* A current Team Teach qualification (essential).
* Experience working with children or young people facing SEMH challenges or behavioural difficulties.
* A resilient, patient, and compassionate approach to supporting students.
* Access to transport is beneficial but not required.
Locations Available: We have opportunities for people in Harrogate and the nearby areas, including Knaresborough, Ripon, and Boroughbridge.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
