Aircraft Structures Engineer – Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) role involves leading engineering analysis tasks, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring effective interactions between team members, suppliers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Defining and carrying out engineering analysis tasks allocated to you and your team members
* Reviewing, checking, and approving work done by less experienced colleagues
* Mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues to build up the team's knowledge, skill, and experience
* Ensuring effective interactions between team members, suppliers, and customers
* Carrying out analysis of structure fatigue and damage tolerance calculations using software applications
* Assessing the F&DT implications of modifications and repairs to in-service aircraft
Requirements:
* STEM-related degree or relevant aerospace engineering experience
* Familiarity with structural fatigue and fracture mechanics, dynamics, vibration, and acoustic effects analysis methods
* Good understanding of classical structural analysis techniques and methods
* Experience in using and applying structural analysis tools and output data processing techniques
* Experience of leading engineers in developing and delivering satisfactory customer outcomes
* Demonstrable experience of Aircraft Structural Engineering and the application of F&DT analysis
