Our fantastic client is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to work at a new, growing independent veterinary practice located in South West London, just a stone's throw away from Twickenham, Richmond, and Hounslow.
They are currently building on their experienced VN team and are seeking a qualified RVN who is ready to take on a new challenge. Duties include providing compassionate nursing care to small animal patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with examinations and procedures, and educating pet owners on animal health and care. You’ll be ready to use your expertise, communicate confidently across the team, and take ownership of your clinical and customer-facing areas.
You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of the nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care and excellent client service. This includes developing and implementing nursing protocols and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care, as well as providing hands-on nursing care for critical or complex cases as needed. You will also train and mentor the junior nurses to develop their skills and knowledge. Additionally, you will manage nursing staff schedules, time off requests, and performance reviews, serving as a liaison between the nursing team and vets to facilitate communication and problem-solving.
The practice values independence, allowing the team to make decisions that prioritize the best interests of patients, pet owners, and each other. The close-knit, supportive team consists of 2 experienced veterinary surgeons, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, and 2 Veterinary Care Assistants. The director's goal is to foster a family-like atmosphere where everyone works collaboratively to provide exceptional care.
