Responsibilities for this role: • Assist the Soft Furnishings Manager in researching, selecting, designing and purchasing all soft furnishings for use within all Novalis Trust’s buildings. • Assist with making curtains and other soft furnishings, taking into account the needs and safety of the young people, students and residents, including personalising their rooms in consultation with the relevant registered managers or deputies. • Ensuring that safety, quality and standard of soft furnishings are maintained throughout the organisation. This includes dressing rooms, assisting with managing stock of all relevant items and be responsible for their distribution. • Working closely with the Trust’s Project & Maintenance team on the development and maintenance of all trust property. • Assisting the Soft Furnishings Manager in the preparation and successful operation of events throughout the organisation. • Undertaking training in personal and professional skills and in the Trust’s ethos and systems and applying these in the working environment. • Assisting to create a caring, stimulating, and safe environment for client groups, staff and visitors. • Safeguarding and promoting the reputation of the Trust. • Taking all reasonable steps to safeguard your health and safety and that of the Trust’s client groups, staff and visitors.

Requirements for this role are: • Driving licence and willing to travel between the Trust’s sites (approx.10 mile radius) • Focused on quality and detail. • Committed and reliable. • Have an interest in sewing/soft furnishings and be willing to learn/enhance existing skills.Closing date for applications: 3rd March 2025
