What the role as a Mental Health Support Assistant entails:
* You will be facilitating and providing specific interventions to aid in the children’s learning.
* You will facilitate a safe and secure environment for learning to take place.
* You will encourage students to achieve the best they can academically, while also adding to their personal growth.
* You will keep track of their academic achievements.
* Have a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding.
Qualities you will need to be a great Mental Health Support Assistant:
* Being kind, caring, and compassionate.
* Having a determination to make a difference in the lives of the students.
* Be patient and willing to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the students.
* Experience working with children and especially children with SEN will be advantageous but not essential.
* You will need an enhanced DBS check, but don’t worry if you don’t have one, we can facilitate your application.
