Ipswich Town Football Club is looking for a Plumber to undertake general maintenance, fault finding, and repair works to all Plumbing and Drainage Systems on time and compliant to current regulations. You may also be involved in new installations as part of the club’s proactive facilities improvement plan.
You will identify new operation trends and opportunities, whilst ensuring that all club meet its operations requirements. This also includes reactive work on match days where plumbing repairs will be required in a timely manner.
You will be the first point of engagement with plumbing issues, and as such must be a brand ambassador for the football club and proactively promote the organisation in line with the vision and values set by the CEO.
This role is primarily based at the stadium with reactive support to the training ground when required.
Who are you?
* You have a NVQ Level 3 Plumbing & Heating qualification.
* You have water hygiene legionella prevention experience.
* You have comprehensive knowledge of specialised plumbing, heating, pool management, fire sprinkler and legionella prevention methods, techniques and processes.
* You have a full clean UK driving licence.
* You have experience in undertaking PPMs.
* You will have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate excellent standards of workmanship.
* You will need to demonstrate good initiative to ensure you can plan ahead, sometimes up to a year in advance so your organisational skills will be excellent.
* You will be experienced with working in large facilities and managing both a reactive works and pre-planned schedules.
* You will act as role model and set excellent standards for our apprentices and sub-contractors to follow.
* You will be available to work match days and contribute towards providing general maintenance support where required.
* You will be able to multi-task and assist other colleagues when needed.
* You will be comfortable in a busy, fast paced environment.
* You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and be confident communicating.
* You will have a strong willingness to learn a range of new skills and build on existing abilities.
* You will be organised, able to meet deadlines and keep calm under pressure.
* You will be outgoing, enthusiastic and passionate about your work.
