Main duties of the Social Worker:
* Minimal day-to-day supervision but invests in regular case supervision and escalates concerns to manager appropriately and timely ensuring children's safety and wellbeing are paramount.
* Confidently represents the Council at Court without a Team Manager, acting as a lead witness and leading care proceedings.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
* Degree or equivalent in social work.
* Current Social Work England registration.
* Significant frontline experience in Children’s Services working as a Social Worker.
* Experience of working in a long-term fieldwork/child protection team, with experience of working in care proceedings.
* Preference for candidates with working knowledge or experience of using Liquid Logic and working with Signs of Safety and restorative practice.
* Experience of undertaking a wide variety of assessments in and out of proceedings, including Parenting assessments, SGO, section 7 and section 37, completing permanence reports, sibling assessments.
