Hours of work: 08:30 – 17:30
Salary: £412.00 – £559.17 per week depending on age, experience, and qualifications.
Reportable to: Camp Senior Team, Area Manager, and Central Office

DANCE AND DRAMA INSTRUCTOR DUTIES
* Set up and maintain your dance and drama area to be suitable and inviting for the children.
* Follow policies and procedures to ensure the children in your care have fun in a safe environment.
* Ensure that the needs of the children in your care are met with active supervision throughout the day including breaks and lunch times.
* Plan and deliver a variety of exciting and safe dance and drama activities that are age-appropriate.
* Encourage maximum participation of the children in the group.
* Ensure the safe use of equipment provided for your sessions.
* Work alongside other staff members who may assist with your sessions.
* Deliver the dance-based Skills Builder course ‘Dance Fusion’.
* May need to job share and liaise with other Dance & Drama Instructors.
* Take responsibility for general welfare and safeguarding.
REQUIREMENTS
* Experience in dance and drama.
* Aged 18 or over by the start date of your contract.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Provide satisfactory professional/academic references.
* Enthusiastic, caring, and organized with excellent communication skills.
* Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or have an existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
* Attend a Virtual Assessment Event if new to Barracudas.
* Complete Online Training annually.
* Attend Induction Training Day ahead of your first working season.
* Use of a Camp Tablet/Kindle for music must follow our child protection policy.
* Assist with pack up at the end of camp.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure that the company fulfills all Health and Safety obligations.
* Organize and deliver activities appropriate for the children in your care.
* Encourage children to participate in new activities as per the timetable.
* Ensure children under your supervision behave safely and communicate daily about behavior expectations.
* Follow all camp systems and support colleagues in doing the same.
* Report any concerns regarding Child Protection to your Senior Team or a Designated Person.
* Make reasonable adjustments for children with additional needs.
* May be required to deliver Skills Builder sessions based on staff availability.
* All staff may be required to support a swimming session.
* This is not an exhaustive list of duties; you will be expected to perform different tasks as required.
