Base Location: Our base locations are UK wide.
The Technology in M&A team at KPMG is one of the fastest growing and most profitable within Deal Advisory and across the firm. We deal with all aspects of technology, from strategy, digital, apps, infrastructure, cloud, operating models, data, cyber, RPA and post deal implementation & enhancements to reviewing technology spend.
The Technology in M&A team are full of subject matter experts, responsible for providing best in class support with both acquirers and vendors on pre- and post-deal technology issues, including buy side diligence, sell side diligence, separations, integrations, IPOs, synergy, JVs and standing up businesses. We support our clients across the deal lifecycle.

What will you be doing?
You will deliver projects working closely alongside senior team members, providing guidance and insight in the deal environment, building your transactions knowledge and further developing your technology skills base.
Key client proposition areas include:
* Due diligence: Highlighting key risks and opportunities in the target’s technology environment to ensure acquirers are aware of key issues that may impact valuation.
* Integration: Planning pre and post deal to support the client in integrating the technology function and systems into the buyer’s organisation while enhancing value.
* Separation: Supporting vendors to plan and deliver a credible, discrete standalone entity on Day 1 to the buyer while preserving value and ensuring business continuity from a technology perspective.
* Providing insights on technology aspects of the deal relevant to the client and readers of technology due diligence reports, explaining issues simply and highlighting the impact of technology on business strategy and operations.
* Advising on technology aspects of integration, separation (carve outs) and optimisation initiatives, including developing target operating models and supporting plan implementations.
* Supporting the Manager on both small and large projects in a client-facing role, managing and developing junior team members.
What will you need to do it?
* 3-6 years’ experience in a leading strategy house, Big 4 firm, public sector organisation or strategy/development team in industry.
* Strong foundational understanding of the value drivers within Technology.
* Experience leading project workstreams and managing small teams.
* Prior involvement in business development and ability to contribute to thought leadership and knowledge management initiatives.
* Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with team members and broader stakeholders.
