Job Description
Support Worker, Wrexham Council, Children And Families Support Team - Must be a Support Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Support Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The responsibilities will include:
1. To identify service need alongside the referring case holding social worker which will be beneficial to the children, young people, parents and carers within Wrexham County Borough or as near to this area as possible.
2. To promote and facilitate supervised contact with children and young people within the care system.
3. To promote and facilitate one-to-one direct family work identified by the case holding social worker within the Local Authority.
4. To promote and facilitate one-to-one direct work with children and young people ascertained by the case holding social worker within the Local Authority.
5. To promote social inclusion and prevent family breakdown by using appropriate considered interventions with children, young people, parents, and carers.
6. Liaise with other professionals.
7. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
8. 3 month Temporary Contract.
9. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
