The Role We are looking for an empathetic leader with a customer centric approach. As a proactive and detail-oriented Deployment Manager, you will build and lead a new deployment team and ensure the seamless rollout of software updates and upgrades across our customer platforms in the UK, US, and Australia. This role involves close collaboration with our clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality deployments that meet our clients' needs. Develop, optimise and maintain a process for deployment of updates to Jadu products and managed servers/services. Attend product release handover meetings and facilitate deployment planning meetings with key stakeholders, including product, development, QA, and operations teams. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure all deployment activities are aligned and communicated effectively well in advance. Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding deployment-related activities. Work closely with clients to understand individual requirements and ensure the successful deployment of all updates, for example planning for any impact / change to any product customisations with the wider professional services team. Provide regular updates to clients (and any related supporting documentation) on their individual deployments, status of these and manage their expectations, working closely with the Support and Project Management Team leads. Ensure all customer deployments meet the required quality standards and comply with internal guidance / version control etc. Oversee any customer specific testing processes, including integration, regression, and security testing that may be required as part of a customer deployment (such as where operating stack updates are required) to resolve any QA issues prior to deployment to customer environments. Continuously improve the deployment management processes to enhance efficiency and quality and automate where possible. Analyse and report upon deployment metrics, tracking of progress to wider company and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Build, lead and motivate a high-performing deployment management team and their ongoing professional development. Provide mentorship and guidance to technical team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Qualifications: Proven experience in a similar role within the web software / web development industry. Strong organisation and project management skills, with experience managing multiple deployments concurrently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams. Experience working with clients in multiple regions, particularly the UK, US, and Australia. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Key Responsibilities Detail: Collaborate with the Head of Product to establish expected timelines and deployment plans for standard product releases and the impacts of these. Coordinate with the Creative and Professional Services teams to manage impacts on custom developments and professional services packages. Work with DevOps team to coordinate relevant updates to infrastructure components, automated where possible and planned in, and documented for self hosted customers. Liaise with Marketing to determine the optimal timing for customer communications. Coordinate with Customer Success and Support teams to prioritise and schedule customer patches and deployment strategies in and around other planned works. Ensure thorough documentation and testing processes are in place. Attend Product sprint planning and release handover meetings for awareness of upcoming changes. Measure and track deployment defect metrics, providing feedback and reporting. Escalate critical issues and defects, particularly those affecting payments, transactions, integrations, security, and compliance and document any relevant non-conformances / Incident Reports etc. Provide effective output deployment statistics and documentation to Product Managers, Engineering Leads and wider business. Ensure visibility of deployment progress through RAG (Red, Amber, Green) status updates.
