We are looking for an Assistant Project Support to join a leading welding and fabrication company based in Stockport, specialising in delivering high-quality services to a diverse range of industries. As they continue to expand, they are looking for Assistant Project Support to oversee and help deliver projects from start to finish.
Job Overview
As an Assistant Project Support, you will support and assist in the coordination of the welding and fabrication projects. You will be encouraged to report any concerns regarding deadlines or budget being missed. You will work on business relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to assist the successful execution of each project.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist and support welding and fabrication projects to help ensure they are completed on time and to specification.
2. Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure that all milestones are met.
3. Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations, providing regular updates on progress and any potential issues.
4. Work closely with engineering, production, and other internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any challenges.
5. Assist in the preparation of project proposals.
6. Review the safety regulations and quality standards.
7. Identify project risks and report accordingly.
8. Develop business relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
9. Review and prepare project documentation, including contracts, work orders, and invoices for sign off.
10. Assist project coordinators, welders, and fabricators, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
Skills & Qualifications
1. Ideally experience within a similar Assistant Project Support role.
2. Some knowledge or awareness of welding and fabrication processes, materials, and industry safety standards.
3. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
5. Good IT skills and some knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
