Panel Wirer Job Description
We are currently looking for Panel Wirers to join a leading, family run, manufacturing business based in Ponteland.
The company designs and manufactures electrical distribution panels and associated devices for the street lighting industry. They have recently expanded into the Electric Vehicle Charging market and require more members in the production facility.
The Panel Wirers will receive a competitive rate depending on experience. The hours of work are 8:30am - 5pm, with overtime available and other company benefits. This is on a temporary to permanent basis, following successful completion of the probation period.
Responsibilities of the Panel Wirer:
1. Fit electrical components and electrical wiring working from schematics and drawings.
2. Fit, wire, build, and assemble power distribution units using hand tools and power tools.
3. Elements of panel testing will be required.
Requirements:
1. Working with Single + Three Phase - essential.
2. Control panel experience is essential.
3. Experience working with busbar assemblies - highly desirable.
4. Previous panel wiring experience - highly desirable.
5. Previous electrical testing experience - highly desirable.
6. Hold 18th Edition - highly desirable.
7. Recognised apprenticeship served - preferred.
8. Previous use and experience with hand tools.
9. You must be able to understand electrical drawings.
10. Attention to detail.
11. Working to schematic drawings.
12. Good communication skills and an understanding of verbal and written English.
13. Dealing with high and low volume wiring assemblies.
14. Excellent attendance levels and attitude.
15. Fault finding and repair.
16. Time management and multitasking abilities.
17. Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude.
18. 3 phase, Single phase and AC experience required.
