ICP Project Manager
Role Overview
As an ICP Project Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting with surveying and overseeing construction activities with our ICP and EV Projects. You will work closely with design engineers, sub-contractors and our project management teams to manage on-site construction activities and translate field data into the wider project team whilst providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning:Develop detailed construction phase plans, including programmes of work, resource allocation, sub-contractors and with a focus on commercial project performance.
Site Management:Oversee day-to-day operations on various construction projects, ensuring programme, H&S, quality and commercial performance are achieved.
Health and Safety Compliance: Day to day management of health and safety processes to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
Resource Management:Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure the availability of resources and materials needed for the project.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process, conducting inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project team, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues proactively.
Problem-solving:Identify and address any issues or obstacles that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate site personnel, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Documentation:Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily progress reports, change orders, and correspondence with stakeholders.
Staying Ahead of the Curve: Maintain a deep understanding of regulations, permits, and incentives related to EVs and ensure project compliance.
Skills and Experience
Experience: Significant experience in construction management or project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects of varying scales and complexities. ICP experience and good understanding of associated processes essential.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, material selection and installation techniques, as well as familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Health and Safety Certification: Certification in the following IOSH/NEBOSH, APM, SMSTS and NRSWA would be advantageous.
Quality: Sound understanding of quality assurance and control, experience managing inspection and test plans.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Management Abilities: Strong management and decision-making skills in regard to sub-contractors and supply chain, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project goals.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Being able to self-manage workload and work with autonomy.
Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions at site level in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications: A relevant accreditation in construction management, civil/electrical engineering, or a related field is typically required, although equivalent experience may be considered.
Computer Literacy:Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite, as well as familiarity with building information modelling (BIM/ACC) software, is advantageous.
