About the Role
The Commissioning Support Officer post is a varied and key role in the Children’s Commissioning Team within the local authority. Supporting the roles of the Commissioning Officer and Specialist Commissioner, this exciting opportunity is fast-paced and supports the progression of transformational work for children and young people across Trafford.
The successful candidate will provide support across the full commissioning cycle in relation to children’s community health services. You will support the development and integration of new services across the borough, monitor and review current health service contracts to ensure quality performance, develop strategic documents to support forward planning and delivery, and analyse key data to identify needs across communities.
You will work in a small team to support in all areas across the children’s health remit such as with Mental Health, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, Physical Health, Early Years, Early Help and with the Neurodiverse pathways.

An understanding of commissioning and experience of working in a children’s education, health or social care setting is desirable.

Additional Information
The core working hours are usually between 8.30am and 4.30pm, from Monday to Friday, but we operate a flexible working policy.
You will have flexibility in terms of hybrid working at home and in the office and will be required to attend the office for relevant team days.
