Computer Science and IT Tutor (Primary)
Role Overview: Computer Science Mentor / 14:45pm to 16:45pm, 3 to 5 days Per Week / £15 an Hour / Undergraduate or Graduates Welcome to Apply / Primary Schools / Oldham & Rochdale
Are you currently studying an Undergraduate degree that has taught you skills beyond MS Office, such as Programming, 3D Design, Website Design, and Digital Animation?
Would you enjoy sharing your knowledge and inspiring children aged 5 – 12 years old to follow in your footsteps?
i-teachers are currently supporting schools in Oldham and Rochdale with finding inspirational, tech savvy, Computer Science Mentors who are looking for part-time work during term time.
Computer Science Mentor: Role Overview
1. Leading 1:1 and Small Group Sessions
2. Teaching 5 – 12 Year Olds
3. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 14:45pm – 16:45pm (term time only)
4. Skills: Ability to Engage Children, Classroom Management, Computer Literacy
5. Training and Detailed Lesson Plans Provided
6. Pay: £15 – £20 per hour
7. Location: Rochdale and Oldham Primary Schools (access to car preferable)
8. Start Date: ASAP
Computer Science Tutor: Applicant Requirements
9. Undergraduate or Graduate studying related degree
10. Good understanding of MS Office, programming, 3D design, website design, and digital animation
11. Previous experience of working with children
12. Ability to work independently
13. Confident with classroom management
14. Passionate about subject matter
Primary Schools are becoming increasingly aware of the importance Tech already has, and will continue to have, on children’s lives and their future careers. This has led to Rochdale and Oldham funding new projects to enhance Tech skills and children’s interest from an early age. In this role, you will influence childrens aspirations and help bring joy to learning. There is flexibility around the days you commit to, ideally it would be between 5 to 8 hours a week.
