The role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager, Procurement (Commercial) to join our team in Birkenhead, SA. Reporting to the General Manager Finance Operations, you will be the critical lead for operational business needs and responsible for delivery of high-value contract and procurement services.
The Manager, Procurement Commercial’s objective will be to deliver the best possible procurement strategies and outcomes, supporting the team and leading effective management of Procurement activities and relationships with suppliers and the business.
You will lead operationally to continuously improve supplier selection for procurement managed categories including nominated National supplier agreements for the Group. You will be involved in high value procurement and contract activities, including all aspects of the contract management process and the implementation of category management plans that succeed in meeting financial targets.
You will also ensure the quality of goods and services provided, contribute to improvement and knowledge management of the procurement process, and supervise monitoring and managing Supply Chain risk in those spend categories for which your team are responsible. You will ensure compliance with Adbri Procurement standards, procedures and work instructions in line with Adbri standards in a manner that reflects best practice.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law, outstanding negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and explain procurement contract terms.

What You Will Need to Succeed:
* Tertiary qualifications in business, supply chain management, or a related discipline
* 5 years+ experience in Commercials, Legal and Category Management of High Value Contracts in a national or global business
* Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams
* Strong contract and commercial negotiation skills
* High level of critical thinking and stakeholder engagement
* Ensuring compliance with policy and governance requirements
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage complex issues
* Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships
