Summary
We are looking for talented Pharmacist to join our team in Northampton National Distribution Center.
You’ll be responsible for checking medicines & pharmacy medicines prescriptions and orders and ancillary items before their dispatch to patients.
You’ll also ensure that pharmacy patient dispensing processes are compliant with all quality standards and guidelines issued by the national pharmaceutical authorities, such as General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), and Corporate Quality Manual & ISO standards
Last but not least, you’ll be involved in training and/or advising any relevant stakeholder across all business function in pharmacy & legal requirements, supervising pharmacy checkers, warehouse pickers and loaders.
We offer a full-time permanent contract, Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, with a competitive salary plus a weekly shift allowance.
What you’ll be doing
1. Ensure all POM & P medicines (PD, HHD and MCB) are 100% checked for accuracy in product code, product description, batch, expiry date and quantity required
2. Ensure all errors are recorded on designated forms and corrected
3. Make sure that on all home patient orders, patient labels (pharmacist labels) are correct and are applied to every box of product and one to the box of ancillary products
4. Works under the guidance of SOPs, GPhC and RPS standards and guidance documents
5. Check all orders in a timely manner to ensure that they meet scheduled deliveries
6. Clinically check all prescriptions and recording prescriptions’ errors and reporting appropriately
7. Provide advice on medicines and processes to patients, prescribers and Baxter employees
8. Ensure all complaints are followed up, investigated, managed and reported appropriately
9. Ensure that all FMD requirements are met at point of receiving stock, dispensing and returns
What you’ll bring
10. Masters’ Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm)
11. Membership of GPhC
12. Proven experience in supervising staff
13. Expert knowledge of good dispensing and distribution practice
14. Ability to work under pressure
15. Excellent verbal, numeric and written communication skills
