About the role
As a Supplier Relationship Specialist Marketing Category at NFU Mutual, you’ll lead, advise, and guide on the delivery of excellent supply chain performance that supports our key business outcomes and contributes to our long-term objectives. You will be responsible for establishing and continually developing partnering relationships with multiple stakeholders, managing the performance of the existing supply chain predominately within Marketing and implementing improvements to ensure delivery in terms of Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Sustainability (QCDS) outcomes. This role is crucial in minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with our policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will lead supply chain performance to drive excellence and support NFU Mutual's long-term business objectives. Building and maintaining strong partnerships with stakeholders across the business and externally will be crucial, as it will help understand and meet the required service and QCDS outcomes. You will monitor and manage the performance of the supply chain, ensuring the delivery of contract value in terms of QCDS while minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure contracts are current, align with the services being delivered, meet legal and regulatory requirements, and manage the implementation of relevant changes. Working closely with stakeholders, including the Supplier Relationship Manager, you will identify opportunities to improve and redesign the supply chain to enhance QCDS performance, develop resilience, and support the delivery of NFU Mutual's long-term objectives. Maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, including operational service owners and colleagues, will be essential to ensure effective supplier lifecycle management and the achievement of business objectives. Additionally, you will develop and report on management information that meets stakeholder requirements and supports effective decision-making.
About you
We are seeking a Supplier Relationship Specialist Marketing Category with strong negotiation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and attention to detail skills. The ideal candidate will excel in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring optimal performance and value. Excellent communication and engagement abilities are essential for liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in managing supply chain complexities.
• Contract Management: Demonstrable experience in negotiating and managing the contract lifecycle of Marketing as a category.
• Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes, contractual terms and conditions, and commercial risk.
• Vendor Management: Specialist knowledge of procurement and vendor management practices, including emerging trends.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Experience managing supplier relationships across multiple categories.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven experience managing stakeholders at all levels within a business.
The CIPS qualification is desirable to hold for this position.
