Planner
Our client, a leading independent Oil & Gas operator, is currently seeking a Planner to join their Planning & Logistics department.
This is an initial 12-month contract position working Monday to Friday based in Norwich.
Qualifications / Experience:
1. Graduate/equivalent education and/or relevant Oil & Gas experience
2. Strong computer skills with experience of planning/scheduling is essential, ideally with experience of using MS Project or Primavera
3. Familiarity with other industry systems, e.g. Maximo, SAP would be beneficial
4. Accurate and methodical work ethic
5. Excellent organisation, coordination skills and communication skills
6. Analytical
Key Responsibilities Include:
7. Facilitate and coordinate planning meetings with all relevant departments.
8. Ensure plans are fully populated and ensure these are deliverable within planning constraints on resources and time.
9. Review draft work scope requirements with OOE / OIM.
10. Coordinate only validated/approved requirements for offshore activities & liaise with engineers, vendors, and offshore support
11. Confirm the status & readiness of all activities
12. Highlight potential slippage/constraints of activities within the plan and communicate out the potential effects to management
13. Attendance Tracking System (ATS) & Vantage administration for area being managed
14. NUI Planning admin and tracking
15. Update plan inclusive of progress and rescheduling of activities in line with business needs
16. Support Team Leader in administrative tasks where required
17. Liaise with the Logistics team to plan within the logistical resources available
18. Liaise with Warehouse team for material shipping and readiness for the plan
19. Manage relevant hotel bookings for planned business needs
20. Ensure contractor readiness to travel offshore are in line with policy and Vantage is updated
21. Liase with HR and medic in regards to medicals completed for company staff
22. Daily Vantage cost code administration
23. Daily management of Planners email inbox
24. Raise any major changes or impacts to activities to Planning Team Leader
The Planner will be responsible for providing both short and long-term planning and delivery for work scopes. The role will require full flexibility to support planning activity across any assets and be agile to adapt to operational changes.
The successful individual will liaise closely with both onshore and offshore team members and provide a crucial link to operational planning. Whilst the role is predominantly office based, there may be an occasional requirement to visit our offshore platforms or terminals.
