We have created a new role for a Maintenance Engineer (Multiskilled) to support our significant capital investment project at our Taw Valley Creamery. The role involves assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment within the plant. This considerable investment will enable the transformation of our creamery over the next three years, enhancing both its size and strategic importance. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in this developmental phase and once live, will continue to support the operational performance of our new site.
How will you add value
* At the start of the project, the role will be more of an office role reviewing and evaluating the solutions from the project teams, providing technical and engineering input to the tender process to ensure the right solutions are chosen.
* Attend FAT or supplier meetings; this may include travel to visit 3rd suppliers and OEMs.
* As the project moves to the installation and commissioning phase, the role will become more hands-on.
* Drive and participate in the development of maintenance processes, tools, spare parts needed along with needed service agreements.
* The role will be progressing to a shift-based/specialist maintenance & engineering position when fully operational.
What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role
* Ideally will be Time Served/Apprentice trained or proven experience with a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within Manufacturing, Production, and Process environments.
* Ideally you will have experience with fast-moving machinery, pumps, valves, inverter drives, sensors, relays, PLC’s (Siemens), Site Services (steam generation plant, chilled water systems, compressors, processes), CIP systems (chemical cleaning plant).
* Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems, HMI’s.
