Job Overview:
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Security Guard to join our team in Colchester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and visitors by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and controlling access points.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
* Control access to buildings and sites, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
* Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, responding to incidents as required.
* Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff when necessary.
* Report any security breaches, incidents, or hazards to management and emergency services if required.
* Conduct regular security checks and complete incident reports.
* Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
* Enforce company policies and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment.
* Work closely with emergency services when needed.
Requirements:
* Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) License.
* Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential.
* Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
* Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
* Right to work in the UK.
