Location: Colnbrook Head Office
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday
Hours: 42.5/wk
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing vendor accounts, and assisting with financial reporting
2. Reconciling invoices to supplier statement and identifying discrepancies
3. Processing reimbursement forms for employee expenses
4. Entering financial transactions into our internal databases ensuring accurate coding to correct nominal accounts
5. Matching purchase orders to supplier invoices
6. Processing purchase invoices for approval
7. Maintaining digital and physical financial records
8. Issuing invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
9. Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
10. Managing shared accounts team email inbox
11. Entering financial information into appropriate software programs
12. Managing day-to-day transactions for purchase ledger
13. Assisting the finance department and senior accounting staff members with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, statements, and with annual audit
14. Handling accruals and prepayments
15. Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts
16. Assisting elsewhere in the finance team where possible
What Are We Looking For From You:
1. Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
2. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
3. Familiarity with finance regulations
4. Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
5. Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage)
6. Organizational skills
7. Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
8. BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field - desirable, but not essential
9. AAT Level 2 or 3 qualified or a desire to study AAT Qualification
